Earth by Aura

Have you ever wondered how long you can stay out in the sun without burning?
Ever wonder how accurate the forecasted UV index for the day is?
The Maryland Science Center and our partners have created a UV radiation project to help people answer these very questions. Sponsored by NASA, The Maryland Science Center has been going out into the Inner Harbor to take daily UV radiation readings and interact with citizens, explaining what UV radiation is and how they as individuals can get involved with something that affects their everyday lives.
You can upload your data and find other users’ data at Volksdata.com and compare our daily readings with predicted readings from various weather services and satellites. Individuals or groups can now compare our readings with forecasted reading, learn how to take their own data, and see how their personal data compares!
