One low price covers everything except national touring exhibitions. Children under 3 are always free! For more information, click here. |

Egg Drop Price Drop Before Noon
During the Maryland Science Center's Egg Drop Price Drop promotion, visitors arriving before noon on Saturdays will receive a $5 discount on the price of admission–and an egg. Maryland Science Center staff will provides the materials and the "egg-spert" advice to help visitors create their original protective device for the egg, which will be dropped off the balcony of the third floor of the MSC's atrium to see if it can survive the impact of the fall. Join us for an intimate discussion with Dr. Manil Suri over coffee and bagels about the connection between mathematics and writing. Suri is both an author and a mathematician and is able to make many connections with mathematics and daily activities. No prior mathematical knowledge is needed to enjoy the discussion. Who Dunnit? Day Noon-4:00PM
A crime has been committed in one of the Science Center's exhibits. Using some of the same processes real-life crime solvers use everyday, you become the detective as you analyze the crime scene, gather information on the likely suspects, and compare fingerprints and hair samples, and more. All activities free with paid admission.

Supersized Skyscrapers 2:00 PM
Put on your hard hats and pull out your K'NEX as we learn how engineers create tall structures. Construct a giant arch, build paper bridges and experiment with different building materials to discover what makes a structure stable. Once you have uncovered the secrets of a sturdy building, you can create your own and test it against the elements. We'll huff and we'll puff, but can we blow your structure down?

Join us as we discover fun ways to make our lives greener here in the Kids Room and at home. Learn how leftover food scraps can help put new food on the table as we get our hands messy with some compost. Use your imagination to turn trash into treasure with our recycled art projects.
